Come and join us for our Summer Concert Animal Magic in June 2026, which will be a concert featuring songs with an animal theme, together with The Zoo, a short operetta by Arthur Sullivan and Bolton Rowe.
Then in September 2026, we will start rehearsals for our main 2027 production of The Gondoliers.
We welcome both principals and chorus members as well as behind the scenes helpers. The Gondoliers is one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most popular operettas. It is very colourful having some of Sullivan’s most memorable music together with Gilbert’s usual sparkling wit.
The production will be fully staged and costumed and accompanied by a large (22+) professional orchestra.

Rehearsals start in September 2026. New members are always very welcome. Previous experience is not necessary – it is enthusiasm that counts! The first point of contact is our Chairman, Lee Power.
He can be contacted by email at: chairman@godalmingoperatic.org
Chorus Members:
There are no formal auditions for the chorus and no requirement to sight-read (many of our members do not)! Chorus roles requiring movement or dancing may be subject to assessment.
Come along and meet us!
Potential Principals:
Auditions are held for solo parts. Auditions are now open to non-members – although anyone who is given a part will have to become a member! Our Social Side
We are a very sociable Society with lots of members having been in the society for many years. We have a dedicated Social Committee who are solely focussed on GOS social events, including our Summer Walks which take place in July and August to replace the singing rehearsals on our regular Monday evenings.
